| First of we would like to thank all anglers whom participated in the opening event. After a long day of rain on friday and the water levels changing dramatically the teams were still able to bring fish to the scale.
We began the day with 14 boats, bright sky's and the sun was cookin. Many of the teams changed up their plan for the day to adjust to the condition changes. The river came up 2 ft over night and continued throughout the day. Reports of one fish her and there and some shorts were reported early in the day. Some nice fish missed the net and were on lock jaw the rest of the day.
The boats headed back at 3:30pm for weigh in. We had 8 boats weigh-in 13 fish for a total weight of 17.46 lbs. Coming in first place was the team of Brad Olson and Brent Rose with 3 fish weighing in at 3.66 LBS. They brought home $400 and earned 200 points towards Team of the Year. Coming in second place was the team of Victor Hunter and Nate Boggs weighing in 2 fish for a total of 2.68 LBS earning them $200 and 199 points towards T.O.Y. Coming in third place was the team of Brian Johnson and Brent Johnson weighing in 2 fish for a total of 2.49 LBS earning them $130 and 198 points towards T.O.Y. The team of Andy Bufalo and Justin Clutter took home the honors of BIG FISH and earned themselves $140.
The following teams recorded fish and earned points towards Team of the Year. Nick Forsell and Larry Forsell caught 2 fish for 2.20 LBS and earned 197 Points. Andy Bufalo and Justin Clutter caught 1 fish for 2.00 LBS and earned 196 points. Joey Welsh and Luke Berry caught 1 fish for 1.81 LBS and earned 195 points. Dave Tassoni and Nick Tassoni caught 1 fish for 1.41 LBS and earned 194 points. Eric Hallin and Ryan Leeser caught one fish for 1.21 LBS and earned 193 points.
The following teams received 25 show points. Zach Stewart and Greg Stewart, David Hall and Gary Phillips, Chad Schultz and Thomas Truitt, Brad Betke and Bill Baker, Lon Ritz, Andy Popham and Brandon White.
